Wroot man found guilty of destroying bird’s nest
Dr Anthony Flinn, 56, of High Street, Wroot, was found guilty at court of damaging/destroying the resting place of bats, and intentionally destroying a swallow’s nest. He was fined £600.
The charges come under the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010 and the Wildlife and Countyside Act 1981.
For the first offence he received a £500 fine, was ordered to pay £600 costs and a £50 victim surcharge.
For the second offence he received a further £100 fine.
