Sporting '˜TeamActiv' schools in South Yorkshire net awards
Three schools that provide great sports opportunities for pupils were placed in the Yorkshire Primary PE and Sport Premium County level awards.
Each school has worked specifically to provide improved outcomes for pupils using Primary PE and Sport Premium grants. Barnsley’s Upperwood Academy won in the Upskilling Staff category while Cudworth Churchfield Primary School was highly commended in the Increased Participation in Competitive Opportunities. Thurlstone Primary School was highly commended in Pupil Engagement in Physical Activity. Each school works with Team Activ.
