The RSPCA is urging South Yorkshire dog owners to think about their pets during the heatwave - after receiving 100 calls about dogs left in cars, caravans, conservatories and sheds as temperatures climbed last weekend.

The RSPCA is urging South Yorkshire dog owners to think about their pets during the heatwave - after receiving 100 calls about dogs left in cars, caravans, conservatories and sheds as temperatures climbed last weekend.

On Saturday and Sunday, the RSPCA’s 24-hour emergency line, which takes calls from all over the country, received 106 reports of dogs left in hot, enclosed spaces.
