While most people go through life without ever finding a lucky four leafed clover, the 59-year-old food manager at a pie making firm has found not one but four all at once.
And on top of that, he’s even found a crop of even rarer five leaf versions!

Hide AdDavid was stunned to find so many in his garden in Bessacarr while he was picking a load of the plants from his garden to feed to his pet rabbit, Willow.
The dad-of-two said: “We have a little rabbit who loves to eat clover. She has a run where she goes in the garden, but there isn’t any clover in there, so I pick it for her and feed it to her.
“I was just in the corner of the garden picking some, and I noticed it was different – it had five leaves. I went inside and looking it up, found something that said it was a one in 20,000 chance. I must have picked 20,000 of them for my rabbit over the years.
“But I found eight or nine of them in my two by four metre garden.

He picked one of each, but left the rest in the garden and he does not plan to feed the four and five leaf specimens to Willow.
David is not expecting his luck to change – he describes himself as ‘not a bit superstitious’ – but said he would be buying a lottery ticket this week.
However he is not planning on buying a speedboat or a private jet just yet.

“I think the country could probably do with some luck at the moment, so of course I would love this to bring some good fortune.”
