Wanted Doncaster man is arrested by police after Facebook appeal

A man wanted by police in Doncaster in connection with an aggravated assault is in custody after being arrested after a Facebook appeal.

Oficers in Doncaster had called for public help in tracking Paul Eardley, wanted in connection with a reported aggravated burglary in Carcroft on 20 July in which a man was assaulted.

Following the appeal, he was arrested in Doncaster on Thursday and is now in custody.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Thanks to everyone who shared our appeal.”
