Over £500,000 worth of drugs seized in police raid on Doncaster estate

Drugs thought to be worth more than £500,000 have been seized by police on a Doncaster housing estate.

Officers from the Doncaster Central neighbourhood policing team raided a house on Mutual Street, in Hexthorpe, yesterday morning (Wednesday), with a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

One man was arrested and remanded in court this morning, said a South Yorkshire Police spokesman today.

Just under 700 mature and nursery cannabis plants were seized, with estimated value of £560.000, say officers, who issued a picture of the crop.
